Osteopathy is a therapy method applied manually and by using techniques based upon biomechanical principles. It is a therapy method applied also in many functional disorders of body, aside from correcting the movement restrictions in joints, and curing pain and functional disorders, and resolving muscle and bone problems.
As a contemporary and modern holistic therapy method developed by Andrew Taylor Still, a medical doctor from Missouri in the United States in the 1870s, osteopathy is accepted and classified as a scientific therapy method by the World Health Organization (WHO).
It contains manipulative methods and exercise methods with a holistic view.
Osteopathy deals with orthopaedic and neurological problems such as lumbar and neck pains, arthralgia, joint restrictions, fibromyalgia, back pains, headache, torticollis, etc.
